Given the absence of a universally agreed definition, “art photography” embraces a spectrum that ranges from portraits and group compositions to nude art, full body portraits and intricate close-ups of the body or face. Even still-life compositions qualify as art photography. It’s a realm where the conventional rules of photography are reimagined—muted contrast, soft focus, and a fusion of diverse techniques alongside computer post-processing and bold colour grading are all acceptable. The interplay of light and shadow, often enhanced by elaborate props and costumes, transcends to a captivating medium that breathes life and emotion into any space, whether it be the comfort of one’s home or the professional setting of an office.
